Troubleshooting System for DeviceNet

SSTetAlert suite of DeviceNet diagnostic products helps electricians, automation engineers and system integrators to certify new DeviceNet industrial network installations, to speed DeviceNet maintenance and repairs, and to prevent plant automation downtime by predicting faults. The suite combines the DeviceENt specifications plus troubleshooting experience into a network health signaling and troubleshooting system. The product family consists of the DeviceNet PowerMonitor, TrafficMonitor, and NetMeter tools. The PowerMonitor and TrafficMonitor integrate power quality and data analysis instruments with status indicators into the DeviceNet cabling for early fault detection by plant floor personnel. The NetMeter integrates expert troubleshooting experience into an intelligent, handheld meter for fast DeviceNet repairs by a novice.

The suite is a complete, multi-layer DeviceNet diagnostic solution. The NetMonitors contain intelligent physical-layer measurement systems to diagnose network power and traffic conditions. They are implemented inside DeviceNet terminator and tee connectors. The handheld NetMeter tool analyzes the DeviceNet power quality, data bit quality, and the message stream with an intuitive user interface to identify and isolate both network-wide and device-specific problems.
