The H-1 Foundation Fieldbus communications transmitters use microsensor technology, which provides accuracy and good long-term stability
The Foxboro Companyndation Fieldbus communications transmitters use microsensor technology, which provides accuracy and good long-term stability. The family of transmitters (absolute, gauge, differential and flanged level) has been registered by the Fieldbus Foundation to the latest interoperability specification. The FOUNDATION Fieldbus transmitters include Fieldbus function blocks and support all standard views, alarm messages and trends. If the Fieldbus protocol should change, the transmitter's firmware can be updated over the loop wiring. FOUNDATION Fieldbus communications permit the I/A Series transmitters to operate in a variety of wiring configurations.

The digital communication protocol supports the transmission of multiple measurement values and diagnostic messages. These can be integrated into a distributed control system and utilized by the operating and maintenance programs. Full access to all transmitter parameters is available over the fieldbus network. The transmitters are characterized for both pressure and temperature at the factory. As a result, they can be re-ranged without calibration equipment. All configuration changes can be accomplished via a PC-based configurator, which maximizes accuracy for a given application.
