The VT-Modem-2 is an intelligent modem that connects to the RS-232 programming port of any PLC. It is a fully featured 33.6 K baud modem capable of auto speed detection and connection to any PC modem and all Windows-based software. The auto-answer feature enables a user to dial in from a remote site and make program changes or perform maintenance without having to drive to the site. The modem can be DIN-rail or flat panel mounted. It is rated for use from –30 to 70°C and in Class I, Div. 2 hazardous locations.
