Syspro adds Graphical Job Schedule to Impact WIP Module
At the IMS Expo '99 in Orlando, FL, Syspro Impact Software Inc. (Costa Mesa, CA.) announced the latest enhancement to one of the more than 30 modules that comprises its Impact Encore ERP software solution. A graphical schedule/pegboard that visually tracks the activity and status of the production floor is now being bundled with the IMPACT Work in Progress (WIP) module.
The Graphical Job Schedule (GJS) is a multi-faceted, graphical front-end that enables managers to call up colorful "birds-eye" views of the factory floor in chart and pictorial representations. With a concise tactical overview of production schedules and workloads by center, day and job, managers are more easily able to identify potential problem areas and schedule jobs in accordance with available resources and promised delivery dates. The GJS highlights overloads and underloads and enables operation capacity loading to be manipulated by using smoothing, forward and backward finite loading functions. It provides the ability to perform "what if" analysis to determine the potential effects of job schedule changes by work center, day and job.
The GJS features drag-and-drop scheduling and real-time mode interaction with WIP automatic recalculation.
The GJS is now available through Syspro's authorized reseller channel. While the GJS will be bundled with the Work in Progress modules, current WIP users can easily add GJS to their Impact software systems.
Syspro's Impact software is an integrated, modular-based ERP system for repetitive, custom, quick turn and mixed mode manufacturers and distributors. Over 30 modules cover all areas of accounting, sales, purchasing, inventory, scheduling and production control. Some specialist modules include EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), ABC (Activity Based Costing), Landed Cost Tracking, Blanket Sales Orders and Releases, Projects & Contracts, RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), and a multi-site update. All modules are scalable and interoperable in a client/server environment.
