Steeplechase announces partnership with OEM/systems integrator in Mexico

<%=company1%> announced a partnership agreement with Icesa-Modicon, whereby Steeplechase will provide tools and training for development programs for Icesa-Modicon's welding systems, body shop tooling, and material handling systems. In return, Icesa-Modicon will serve as a trained support team for Steeplechase customers in Mexico.

"Icesa-Modicon is a combination OEM (machine builder in the areas of welding and transport), systems integrator, and local maintenance contract-type relationship," says Jeff Fisher, general manager of the Steeplechase Software Division.

Icesa-Modicon has eight offices - seven in Mexico and one in the United States - with corporate offices in Tlalnepantla, Mexico. Its business areas include turn-key project integration for the automotive industry, material handling, resistance welding, distribution of industrial products, and maintenance programs.

Icesa-Modicon has more than 200 employees and 80 engineering specialists dedicated to developing innovative solutions. Key Icesa-Modicon engineers have been supplied with necessary tools and have been trained to support Steeplechase PC-based control.

Icesa-Modicon will entertain support contracts at major automotive end users in Mexico, including DaimlerChrysler, American Axle, General Motors, and Volkswagen to provide onsite support, start-up assistance, and phone support.

"We are pleased to offer our support to current Steeplechase projects in Guanajuato, Saltillo, and Toluca here in Mexico," says Thomas Patton, VP of Icesa-Modicon. "Our control engineers were very impressed by the Steeplechase PC-based control and flow chart programming training program."
