A new series of spline type flexible couplings from Sterling Instrument (an ISO 9001 manufacturer) are suitable for high rpm applications. They feature a Polyurethane spline with zinc alloy die cast or sintered metal hubs. They are electrically isolated, require no lubrication and serve to dampen shock and vibration.
Identified as the A 5Z28 Series, they are designed to fit 3 mm to 6 mm (.250" to .375") diameter shafts. Their angular misalignment compensation is 2°, with a maximum parallel offset range of .007 to 0.2, and a maximum operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). Coupling diameters range from 16 mm to 32 mm (5/8" to 1-1/4").
