The current diversification in information system technology makes it vital to pool and synchronize
The current diversification in information system technology makes it vital to pool and synchronize information between the different knowledge-users in a company. This is particularly applicable for tactical timescale decision-aid systems. With centralized storage, all the systems within a decision area can share, consult and use data. SKEP eXtended Integration provides a solution whereby key logistics decision chain data are stored and pooled, especially information that is likely to be exchanged between SKEP eXtended solutions and other software. The system provides a highly flexible, evolutive link between all the SKEP solutions and their software environment.

Pooling and synchronizing Supply Chain information

SKEP eXtended Integration

contains a relational database (Oracle, SQL Server…) dedicated to the exchange and synchronization of Supply Chain information. This Data Hub has been designed to facilitate integration of different applications in the Supply Chain. Filled by SKEP eXtended Solutions and other software systems, it contains the key data for your logistics chain.
The data hub can also store key logistics decision chain information: item lists, technical features, bills of material, inventories, sales forecasts, orders, production schedules, inter-plant flows, etc.
The hub's enhanced structure provides the ideal database for projected flows.
The eXtended Integration solution also features a Business Mapping module to provide high added-value integration. This consists of a set of business scenarios that provide data from the various software applications associated with the Supply Chain within companies, for publication in SKEP eXtended Integration.

Synchronizing mechanisms allow the scenarios to be fully automated, forming a genuine, turnkey EAI (Enterprise Application Integration).
The development of certified interfaces between SKEP eXtended Integration and the market's main ERP applications has led to fully reliable, ongoing improvement in the intra-company exchange of data needed at every stage of a logistics decision chain cycle.

Business Mapping between SKEP eXtended and SKEP eXtended Integration

A mapping system (data publication) for the SKEP optimization modules in the Data Hub and their repositioning in relation to those contained in SKEP eXtended Integration means that the matches between data in the different data bases can be easily configured, without needing to use SQL language.
This standard mapping system also offers a more flexible base for the future development of the information system architecture and applications, in line with corporate needs.

Inter-plant communication

The communication option offered in this solution orchestrates communication between several distant sites. This partial replication of remote databases can be fully modeled and allows data from different bases to be consolidated, while information can also be shared between several remote Data Hubs with additional data available. It also allows applications to be used within a distributed multi-site organization.

Business Mapping between SKEP and ERPs Improves information flows

The database has been designed to allow the different logistics planning chain software applications to communicate easily with each other (Data Hub).
The use of optional Business Mappings averts the need for specific developments between the applications, thus relieving the load on the IT department and providing a durable interface. DynaSys has also been PP-DRP certified by SAP, thereby becoming the first European member to have obtained this level of certification. The "Business Mapping for R/3" interface links SKEP to the SAP R/3. Enterprise Management solution. There are also certified Business Mappings with SSA's BPCS.
DynaSys can provide user-administrators with detailed documentation on the data base and tools to make specific interfaces between SKEP eXtended Integration and proprietary applications.
