Proximity Sensor Families

IFM Efector, Inc.tor m sensors include three families of proximity sensors designed for industrial automation, metalworking, or wash down applications, and all units feature extended sensing ranges that provide users with greater margins of safety in these applications. The sensing ranges are up to twice as long as conventional switches of the same size.

All units incorporate flexible film circuits which allow the use of extensive automated production techniques and automated testing procedures.

IP 67 Series

Feature IP 67 environmental protection and an operating temperature range of –13 to 158°F

Housed in a one-piece optalloy plated brass housing with laser-etched part numbers and a four-hole output LED

IP 68 Series

Incorporate sensing face materials an sealing technology developed specifically to resist oils and coolants used in metalcutting operations

Switches are tested to an enhanced version of IP 68 that requires them to be immersed at depths from two to three times the standard, for a total period almost three times longer

Incorporate Viton® O-rings and Pocan or ceramic sensing faces

IP 69K Series

Switches are subjected to testing at 4gpm of water at 1,500 psi and 176°F from a distance of four inches

Units feature a FDA-approved VICTREX PEEK sensing face and an EPDM O-ring seal

32 to 212°F temperature range and 316 stainless steel housing
