Profibus DP Network Interface

Omron Electronics LLCal new Profibus DP products have been released including a master unit, configuration software, a multiple I/O terminal and an I/O link unit. The new master unit allows for full Profibus DP implementation on the CS1 controller platform. The configuration software assists in providing and managing accurate data, and is easy to configure. The ability to save nodes, and mix I/O types, are part of the functionality of the new multiple terminal. The I/O link unit allows for high-speed data transfer and also enables sharing of data from remote controllers.

The Profibus master unit meets basic Profibus specifications and supports all available Profibus communication speeds with its baud rates up to 12Mbaud and its support of up to 124 slaves. The configuration software, Sycon-DP, allows for easy configuration and commissioning of a network. The new multiple I/O terminal is a modular Profibus DP slave that consists of a communication unit providing an interface to one or more I/O unites. The I/O link unit is a Profibus-DP slave for the C200H series PLCs.
