N/Aicro PLC incorporates a range of communications options into one compact unit. Measuring 33 x 65 x 90 mm, the unit offers several ways to communicate with other devices, including RS-232, host link and no-protocol communications of standard devices such as bar code readers. A combination RS-232C/peripheral port allows users to connect two devices simultaneously from one location. When used with the company's NT631/31 HMI, the PLC can be programmed via a programming console embedded into each HMI. This embedded programming capability eliminates the need for a handheld PLC programming console, allowing users on the plant floor to access the memory areas of the PLC to monitor, edit and debug PLC programs. Expandable up to 140 I/O points, the device features high-speed processing of 50 µs.
