With the Rail Hubs RH1-TP/FL and OTP3/FL2 you can configure small to medium sized ETHERNET networks easily and cost-effectively.
With the Rail Hubs RH1-TP/FL and OTP3/FL2 you can configure small to medium sized ETHERNET networks easily and cost-effectively. An important feature of the Rail Hubs is the fast media redundancy in an optical ring structure. The failure of a transmission path will be detected in less than 20 ms and data will be diverted to a redundant path. This patented innovation by Hirschmann ensures ultimate network and system reliability.
A Rail Hub offers you a compact device, suitable for industrial applications which can be installed on a DIN Rail. Three twisted pair ports and two optic ports are provided. The RH1-TP/FL has standard RJ-45 connectors and the OTP3-FL2 has 9-pin Sub-D connectors. Various network structures can be implemented with the Rail Hubs: line structures via fiber optic or twisted pair cables and redundant optical ring structures via the fiber optic ports. This high level of flexibility allows you to adapt your network to the geographical layout of your system, saving you both time and money when it comes to planning and installation.
The 24 V operating voltage is supplied via a plug-in terminal block and can also be configured for redundancy. An additional contact in the terminal block allows you to record status messages directly as process data. Integrated LEDs permit fast on-site installation.
- Fast media redundancy (<20 ms) + redundant operating voltage offer ultimate network and system reliability
- Various topologies supported (line, ring, star) cutting installation costs
- Plug & play technology for fast network installation
- Function control using signaling contacts for remote diagnosis without management software
- Easily installed on a standard DIN Rail
- Rugged, heavy-duty design suitable for industrial applications permits operating temperatures from 0°C to +60°C, without fans. IP 30
