New Grainger Express Opens In Alexandria

Chicago, IL - Grainger, a North American distributor of facilities maintenance supplies, opened a new Grainger Express location in Alexandria, VA, recently at 435 Calvert Ave., just off Jefferson Davis Highway.

"The new Alexandria Grainger Express enables local customers, such as facilities maintenance professionals and contractors, to get the products they need, when and where they need them, without having to leave the area," said William May, Branch Manager, Grainger.

Grainger's new Alexandria location brings the company's broad product and service offerings closer to the area, supporting businesses as well as government and educational facilities in and around Alexandria. The new Grainger Express allows customers to conveniently place orders and pick them up the same day. Orders will be shuttled to the Alexandria facility five times a day, providing customers access to more than 38,000 products including heating, ventilation and air conditioning supplies, electrical items and safety products. The Grainger team at the new Alexandria Express provides customers with product selection assistance, access to repair and replacement parts and technical support for product application.

The changes in Alexandria are just a part of several enhancements Grainger is making to its branch network in the Washington, D.C., area as part of the company's nationwide market expansion initiative. Local customers are already benefiting from a new Grainger location in Dulles, expanded showrooms in Lanham and Springfield, as well as a new, more convenient location for Grainger's Rockville facility.
