Multiply, Divide Encoder Signals

The digital Multiplier/Divider is an advanced encoder signal conditioning device engineered specifically for digital electronics, and is compatible with any incremental digital encoder. It is designed to reduce or increase the signal frequency to better match output devices, and for multiple output encoders to match PLCs and display devices. Encoder signals can be divided by two, four, or eight, or multiplied by two or four. The Multiplier/Divider enables better sensing and enhancement of encoder signals for very low speed operations. The Multiplier/Divider will convert encoder A and B quadrature signals to clock and direction format for easy interfacing to up-down counters, single-ended signals to differential output, and convert signal voltage levels. Output is user definable from 5-26VDC. In addition to short- circuit protection, outputs are ESD protected. A red LED status indicator lights up when output drivers enter a low voltage or temperature fault condition. Fault conditions automatically reset when the fault clears.
