Model 6 EXPORT LV Motor Control Center Now IEC-Certified, Carries CE Marking

International Standardization Enhances Service, Easy Installation

PALATINE, Ill. – October 3, 2001 – Multi-national manufacturing and processing companies can now achieve a higher level of worldwide service by standardizing on the IEC certified Model 6 Export Low Voltage Motor Control Center from Square D.

Modeled on the rugged Model 6 Industrial MCC platform, the Model 6 EXPORT LV MCC features a wide range of modular and easily maintained IEC-certified TELEMECANIQUE motor starter and MERLIN GERIN circuit breaker components supported by Schneider Electric professionals at 9,000 sales locations in 130 countries.

The Model 6 EXPORT LV MCC meets the fingersafe requirements of IEC 60439-1 certification covering low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies. It also carries a CE marking.

Horizontal bus sizes in the Model 6 EXPORT LV MCC up to 2500A are designed to withstand 70kA for one second per IEC standards. Starters are available up to 250kW with Type 2 protection.
