The MAC 501 micro-welding workstation is designed for ultra-precision parallel or serial gap welding applications
The MAC 501 micro-welding workstation is designed for ultra-precision parallel or serial-gap welding applications. Operators are able to easily move the head assembly directly over large workpieces while maintaining precision control. A constant-force weld head and microscope are mounted on a manually-operated X/Y/Z cantilever gantry system capable of maintaining +/-0.05° perpendicularity over the entire 20 x 12 x 12-in. work envelope. Electrode downward force is programmable from 0.5 to 5.0 lb. and made part of every weld schedule. Any one of 99 weld schedules can be applied without setting additional force control mechanisms.

Users are able to maintain process control with additional software options. Welds can be enhanced at a local level. The operating software of each power supply allows operators to trim voltage, current or power by +/-5% without corrupting the master weld schedule. The workstation is suited for use in the medical, microwave and electronics industries.
