Micro Air Motors

Micro Air Motors is a pioneer manufacturer of small yet powerful air motors and drills for medical, robotic and industrial use. At only 3/4 of an inch diameter, these precision motors consume only 4.8 CFM of air at 90 psi, while producing stall torques from 3.5 in-ozs. to 9 ft-lbs. at free speeds of 50,000 RPM to 1 RPM.

TINY and ERGONOMIC AIR GRINDERS

Using experience gained during more than 20 years of designing pneumatic rotary devices for the dental industry, they have added Micro Air Grinders to their product line. Developed around proven rotary-vane motors, these grinders are ultra-light (less than 4.6 oz.), produce low noise (only 80 dB), and are highly efficient. The balanced grinder body is 4.55 in. long and designed to minimize arm and hand fatigue, even during hours of continuous operation. The integral air motors develop free rotor speeds of 30,000 rpm in Model MAG 3000 and 60,000 rpm in Model MAG 6000. The two models develop 8 and 3 oz-in. of stall torque respectively. Each grinder can be operated by an accessory pedal that has an on/off valve and variable-speed control. Supply requirements are 5.5 scfm of lubricated air at 90 psig; maximum rated pressure is 160 psig, but higher pressures increase wear and noise. The standard is 1/8-in. diameter collet and has a locking spindle. (A 3/32-in. collet adapter is available.)
