Printronix1524 fanfold, high-speed laser printer increases performance on print jobs with complex graphics over 200%, and allows the addition of PrintNet Plus networking features to increase the functionality across the enterprise. Network administrators using a web browser can now view a remote printer's control panel, using a resident HTML-based printer homepage, and configure, troubleshoot, and secure printer controls from a single location in a LAN or WAN. This brings the advanced network management connectivity and versatility of Printronix Printer Manager (PPM) and the PrintNet network card to fanfold laser printing.

The printer can now be connected to Ethernet (TCP/IP) to facilitate the migration of laser printer applications from mainframe based to server based network environments. Additionally, Printronix System Architecture (PSA 2) provides a common thread that unifies all three Printronix printer technologies - laser, thermal and line matrix – allowing all of the printers to work together with little or no application software modifications.

The printer is directly supported in SAP R/3 without the need for any additional software. Handling paper output with the L1524 is easy with the optional power paper stacker. An upgrade program is available, at minimum cost, to present users of L1024s who want to take advantage of the new controller capabilities.
