<%=company1%>, a Kirkland, WA-based provider of enterprise resource planning software for small and mid-size companies with make-to-stock, assemble-to-order, make-to-order and mixed-mode manufacturing operations, announced the latest version of their ERP application, now called Intuitive ERP.

According to the company, with the release of version 5.0, the application formerly known as MRP9000 is now branded as Intuitive ERP to more accurately reflect its broadened functionality and position in the marketplace. "Intuitive ERP more accurately describes the enterprise-wide scope of the product and underscores the inherent high level of ease of use we deliver," says Andy Levy, director of marketing for Intuitive Manufacturing Systems.

Designed to improve productivity and strengthen support for companies with multiple divisions, Intuitive ERP Version 5.0, adds new extensions of financial reporting and analysis, e-commerce and support for the Microsoft Windows 2000 platform. "Intuitive ERP version 5.0 includes many new features that will help our customers compete in today's marketplace," says Chuck Gillam, president of Intuitive.

In addition to general updates throughout the system, the most noteworthy enhancements to the product include:

  • WebRemote
  • AlertMessenger
  • Advanced Financial Reporting and Multi-company Consolidation
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server support

WebRemote delivers remote access to the Intuitive ERP system, providing for secured access to critical business reports and the sales order entry process from anywhere, at any time, through a Web browser. This extended access to the system shortens the business cycle and provides remote employees with information they didn't have available before. Field sales representatives can review all aspects of a specific account's status before calling on them. Sales orders can be entered in real-time, eliminating errors, reducing time and giving customers greater confidence. And managers can look at an analysis of a vendor's performance before visiting them on the road.

AlertMessenger is a real-time workflow communication system that provides updates on critical events, delivers work instructions and automates interaction with vendors and customers. With AlertMessenger, employees, vendors and customers will be proactively and automatically notified of pre-determined events through customized e-mail, pop-up message boxes or electronic paging systems. Instead of trading phone calls and spending endless time and effort to track down information, AlertMessenger extends your enterprise to include customers and vendors, shortening lines of communication and helping users resolve issues faster.

Intuitive has integrated Timeline Analyst with Intuitive ERP to provide executives and financial analysts with real-time access to data, presentation quality reporting and the flexibility to meet the unique needs of any manufacturer. The integration allows users to review summary information, drill down into transaction level detail, and create standard or customized reports. This new functionality also provides advanced financial management capabilities for multi-site and multi-company consolidation as well as comprehensive budgeting capabilities such as multi-level budgeting, consolidations, and performance reporting.

The addition of multi-company consolidation to the General Ledger provides a consolidated view of company operations, whether they are stand-alone legal entities or divisions, through sophisticated but easy to use advanced reporting capabilities, key financial statements and analysis. With the consolidated reports comes the retention of transaction level detail, enabling customers to conduct analysis of problem areas.

Intuitive ERP 5.0 runs on Windows 2000 Server, Microsoft's newest business operating system that provides a highly reliable, available, and manageable platform for running business application. As a result, Intuitive ERP supports integrated communications services, including Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and Remote Access Services (RAS), allowing Intuitive customers to easily and securely connect their mobile employees, branch offices, partners and customers to the Intuitive ERP system.

Additionally, with the built-in Web services and support for the Extensible Mark-Up Language (XML) in Windows 2000, Intuitive is able to build and provide highly scalable solutions for their customers that can easily turn their businesses into e-businesses.

"By supporting Windows 2000, Intuitive provides its customers a powerful platform for running business applications," says Don Richardson, industry manager of manufacturing at Microsoft Corp. "In doing so, Intuitive helps its customers to strengthen system reliability, cut costs with improved management and Internet-enable their businesses."

Intuitive ERP version 5.0 will be available in July.
