Intellution Announces Plug and Solve Enabled Logo Program for Third-Party Components

Intellution Inc., a Norwood, MA-based industrial automation software maker, announced the company's Plug and Solve Enabled Logo program, which provides customers with tested component solutions that can easily be "plugged in" to their existing Intellution Dynamics systems. As a result, Intellution's customers can save integration time and add a wide variety of functionality to existing systems by using tested third-party components to fit each unique application.

"The Plug and Solve Enabled Logo program gives Intellution customers the quality assurance they are accustomed to when creating solutions with Intellution," says Jim Welch, Intellution's executive VP of strategy planning and development. "With tested components for unique applications customers can experience the advantages of Intellution Dynamics' iCore foundation, an open and secure environment, that facilitates easy integration with best-in-class third-party applications."

Intellution's Plug and Solve Enabled Logo licenses third-party solutions that have been designed, tested, and approved for use with Intellution Dynamics. The logo license provides Intellution's customers with assurance that its third-party software components are built upon standards such as Microsoft's Windows DNA for Manufacturing.

Intellution's Plug and Solve Enabled products must pass the aggressive self-testing requirements based on criteria in the Plug and Solve Enabled Logo Requirements document. The requirements document tests for proper installation, performance and storage usage, functionality and style, documentation and integration. The test is then audited and approved by Intellution's quality assurance team.

The following companies have signed up for their products for the program:
