IMS Named One of the Year's Top 75 Fastest Growing Windows ISVs

Intuitive Manufacturing Systems, Inc. (IMS, Kirkland, WA), developer of MRP9000 manufacturing software, announced it has been named the 46th fastest-growing independent software vendor for Windows in North America by Microsoft Corp. and CMP Media.

The inaugural "Winning on Windows" ranking of the Top 75 fastest-growing Windows ISVs was unveiled last night at a gala reception at the Spring Comdex/Windows World show in Chicago. Microsoft and Information Week sponsored "Winning on Windows" and results were based on research conducted by Reality Research, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of CMP Media).

Intuitive Manufacturing Systems attributes the company's success to the success of its product, MRP9000—a complete and integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for small to midsize discrete manufacturers and satellite plants of large manufacturing companies. MRP9000 is developed in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications and Transaction SQL, has an Access-based front end, uses SQL Server for the back end database, and runs on Windows NT Server.

"This award honors success that comes from hard work, dedication to quality and innovation" says Tod Nielsen, vice president of developer marketing for Microsoft. "MRP9000's use of core Windows platform technologies and open standards provides a winning combination for manufacturers who are currently running, or would like to standardize on, the Windows platform."

"Intuitive Manufacturing Systems has been a partner in the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) program for the past five years," says Marcus Schmidt, industry marketing manager for manufacturing at Microsoft. "We have witnessed their exponential growth during this time. Their success has truly shown how the Windows platform and cutting-edge Microsoft technology are excellent tools for providing an ERP solution to the manufacturing marketplace."

Founded in 1994, Intuitive Manufacturing Systems Inc. is a privately held company dedicated to offering an ERP software product that enables discrete manufacturers to manage their entire organization with a single, integrated system. MRP9000 utilizes 100% Microsoft technology—SQL Server, Windows NT and Access 97.
