Glovia International Announces glovia.com/5 for Discrete Manufacturers
Manufacturing and services software vendor Glovia International LLC announced glovia.com/5, its next generation solution for discrete manufacturers. Glovia.com/5 is tailored to provide wide-ranging manufacturing and service capabilities for Glovia's four key markets: automotive, capital equipment, electronics and telecommunications.
The El Segundo, CA-based company says glovia.com goes beyond traditional ERP systems to address critical manufacturing trends such as outsourcing, projects & contract management, managing value-added services and globalization support.
Glovia.com/5 introduces a complete global automotive solution designed for all levels of the automotive supply chain and financial capabilities that meet all euro requirements and multi-currency conversions, while maintaining ease-of-installation and rapid implementation.
According to Glovia, it offers a manufacturing and services solution tailored specifically for its customers. Instead of requiring customers to revamp or process reengineer their enterprise systems in order to maintain a fully functional manufacturing and services system, glovia.com integrates with user's existing networks and other business applications. This decreases time and costs associated with the implementation process. Most Glovia customers are able to implement this solution in six to nine months.
"Glovia.com/5 will bring us into a world-class position for business strategy through its automotive functionalities which are very unique in the industry," says Mike Mitsch, VP of operations, Keihin Aircon North America Inc., a subsidiary of Indiana Precision Technology. "We rely heavily on our customer forecasting, ordering and sudden changes in patterns to be communicated swiftly through a system that will affect the bill of materials for parts requirements and production schedules for build requirements. We need good tracking of our work in process, and accuracy in relaying this back to the customer in a rapid fashion. glovia.com/5 provides all of these capabilities and even takes it a step further and incorporates the true language of our industry into the product."
"Glovia.com/5 provides focused manufacturing and related service functionality for the domestic and international discrete manufacturing community, supporting greater efficiencies across the enterprise and among suppliers," says Lisa Williams, senior analyst with market research firm the Yankee Group. "This results in more effective day-to-day business processes that save companies time and money. glovia.com/5 is flexible and highly customizable, making it a strong manufacturing and services system for global enterprises."
Glovia.com/5 contains key components designed for all levels of the automotive supply chain to offer a complete global automotive solution. Since glovia.com/5 was developed by teams in the United Kingdom, Asia and the United States, it is designed to meet the needs of discrete manufacturers who operate across national boundaries around the world. "Glovia.com/5 is a truly global manufacturing and services solution," says Bill Engel, president of Glovia International.
