Fluor Corporation today reported that its Global Services organization has standardized to exclusively utilize TabWare, Fluor's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) product, to enhance the asset management services it provides to clients throughout the world.

Fluor is using TabWare at its geographically dispersed work sites in a wide variety of industries, from real estate site management and equipment rentals to microelectronics and pharmaceutical processing facilities. Fluor will implement the product at all of its asset management contract sites, officials said.

"TabWare is a natural complement to the integrated services we provide to our clients when managing their assets, whether those assets are manufacturing plants, chemical processing facilities, or any other type of major industrial project," said Ronald G. Peterson, group executive, Plant, Property and Equipment Services. "It allows us to enhance and reinforce what we believe is among the very highest quality asset management services available anywhere in the world."

TabWare offers clients the delivery flexibility either through a traditional client/server application or an Internet solution in a fully secure, web-based environment. Additionally, the product is easily adapted to any industry and to any location, including those that may be located in some of the very remote locations where Fluor has projects, officials noted.

"Our operations and maintenance teams now will have a repository of information readily available to them no matter where they are located around the world," said Bill Leistner, president, Global Services. "TabWare also enhances our ability to lower production and facilities costs while, at the same time, increasing asset productivity and reliability for our clients."

TabWare will allow Fluor to enhance the management of its varied and often complex work processes around the world. It will support the company's efforts to provide the best possible service to its customers by effectively and efficiently tracking project milestones; enhancing the planning and scheduling processes integral to the on time completion of a project; reinforcing the timeliness of, and scheduling for, preventive maintenance; enhancing management of inventory control; and other related project functions.

With fiscal 2000 revenues from continuing operations of $10 billion, Fluor Corporation provides services on a global basis in the fields of engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, operations, project management, and business services.
