Rockwell Software Inc.city scheduling, a feature of Tempo software, is the process of creating an operation schedule for a set of jobs that are to be produced on a limited set of resources. Each job is comprised of one or more operations (drilling, turning, painting, etc.) that must be performed in a specified sequence using a set of available resources (machines, workers, etc.). When a production schedule is generated, Rockwell Software Inc.city scheduling takes into account the factors that hamper a resource's ability to process, such as shift patterns, breakdowns, planned maintenance, and tool and operator availability. The software's electronic planning board displays schedules in a Gantt chart format. Schedules can be adjusted manually, batches can be split, or overtime can be added with just a few clicks of a mouse. To move operations, the planner points on the operation, clicks, drags, and drops.
