Three FieldPoint modules have been introduced for monitoring and controlling industrial applications
National Instruments Corporation FieldPoint modules have been introduced for monitoring and controlling industrial applications. The analog FieldPoint module, the FP-AO-210, provides programmable voltage outputs. The eight channel module can generate analog voltage output anywhere from 0 to 10 V with a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter. It includes input-output isolation, open/short wiring detection and protection, overranging, HotPnP Plug and Play operation, and onboard diagnostics for easy installation.
The FieldPoint FP-CTR-502 counter module includes eight 16-bit 50kHz counters with clock inputs that can operate in a number of different counter modes. The module works with 5 to 30 VDC sinking devices, including TTL and CMOS.
The FP-QUAD-510 quadrature encoder input module allows engineers and scientists to connect up to four channels of either single-ended or differential quadrature encoder inputs. The module measures position and velocity in forward and reverse directions with a frequency of up to 1 MHz on all four channels.
