Hirschmannius G12 Fiber INTERFACE is a fiber optic interface that provides fail-safe operation through redundant fiber optic double-ring structures at all Genius-Bus data speeds, ensuring high data transfer reliability and low failure rates. The interface is ideal for providing industrial communications via fiber optics between computers, image-processing equipment, PLCs, I/Os and related Genius-us peripherals in a variety of factory automation applications.

Hirschmannius G12 provides long distance reach between participants in Genius-Bus networks. The new interface operates at all data speeds and handles signals with full protocol transparency.

The interface has diagnostic LEDs for quick installation and system check time. It runs on either a 24V DC or 48V DC power supply, and can handle both 50/125 µm and 62/125 µm fiber types.
