Fiber Optic Amplifier

The E3X-DA digital fiber optic amplifier users the versatility of displaying digital incident, digital percentage or analog levels. Users select the mode to use with one touch of a button on the amplifier. Information is displayed in 6-mm characters that can easily be seen from a distance. The series is available in NPN or PNP versions, with or without analog output. Features include choice of four teaching methods; a hyper-flashing function that sets the sensor's emitter to flash red for 10 minutes to ensure optical axis alignment; and a "peak hold" or "bottom hold" display that holds and displays a set value for two seconds. This display makes it easier to fine-tune optical axis adjustments or to detect objects moving at high speeds. A "reverse mode' enables the digital display to be read regardless of amplifier orientation. An off-delay timer function adjustable in five-ms increments between 0-200 ms allows the sensor's signal to be directly input to a PLC.
