Ease of Use Makes Lilly Software One of New England's Fastest Growing Tech Companies

<%=company1%> (LSA) has ranked 30th in the 1999 Deloitte & Touche 1999 New England Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the region. This is the second year running that Lilly has achieved the Fast 50. The announcement was made at an award ceremony last night at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge, Mass.

The 1999 New England Technology Fast 50 is an annual program co-sponsored by the professional services firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP and the law firm of Hale and Dorr LLP, and in association with Mass High Tech: The Journal of New England Technology. Rankings are based on five-year revenue growth.

In an interview with the Portsmouth Press Herald of New Hampshire, CEO Richard T. "Dick" Lilly explained the success of his software solution as that it is "The easiest one to use. We aimed for that." Lilly insisted upon Windows-based technology in 1992, then unheard of in manufacturing software, but quickly becoming the norm. Lilly also bred advanced planning and scheduling or APS technology into his software, which is only now becoming a popular, and expensive, aftermarket option.

Since 1992, Lilly Software's worldwide installed base has topped 2000. More than 325 people now sell or support Lilly Software products worldwide.
