PSI-TRONIX Submersible Transducers are designed for use in fluids or in hostile environments to pressures of up to 150 P.S.I.

Position is measured by mounting the transducer to a rigid surface and attaching the cable clip to the moving element to be monitored. Extension of the cable rotates a spring loaded shaft, coupled to the sensing circuits. The constant force spring provides torque for cable retraction. The cable retraction velocity is limited by the torque generated by the spring. For applications where a higher cable velocity is required, a 50G option is available.

Materials used in body construction are anodized aluminum and stainless steel, or all stainless steel. Standard position transducers with ‘A' circuit, can be excited with up to 25 volts, AC or DC. The ‘B' circuit option (simulated wheatstone bridge) can be field adjusted for mechanical zero offset and output voltage.

Twelve models cover the range of 0-2 inches through 0-80 inches, and a two-wire, 4-20mA version is also available with Zero and Span adjustments. The transducer may be mounted in virtually any position. The cable entry can be at the top, bottom, or either side.
