Emerson Motion ControlM-3 Programming Module is now DeviceNet capable. Designed to be a DeviceNet Group 2 slave device, the FM-3DN allows all parameters to be accessed from the DeviceNet Master. "DeviceNet Made Easy" software maintains the "drag and drop" ease of the Powertools FM-3 Windows-based software programming tool. DeviceNet parameters are also displayed and can be modified using the FM-3 LCD keypad display.

Full FM-3 functionality is maintained while the FM-3DN supports the following DeviceNet connection types: Polled, Bit-Strobed, Change of State, Cyclic, and Explicit Messaging. The keypad display shows Baud Rate, MacID, DeviceNet Network status, Module status, Counters and diagnostics for troubleshooting.

The module supports up to 100 motion programs for use with the company's En Series of Digital Servo Drives. The module features a homing routine; 55 configurable indexes, and jogging capability. Synchronized indexes, home and jogs are available for applications such as flying shear, wire and cable winding, web handling and conveyor synchronization.
