Data Transmission Converter

The Data Transmissions Standards Converter changes the RS-232 data transmission to RS-485 or RS-422 while offering nine termination options incorporating any combination of DB 25, RJ45 or terminal strip connectors. DIN rail- or panel-mountable, the converter features low standby current and operates from a range of supply voltages while providing short circuit protection, current limiting on output drivers, reverse input voltage protection and thermal shutdown protection. It offers switch selectability for two- or four-wire applications. Other features include differential mode RTS out and CTS in for special applications, compatibility with PCs and other RS-232 ports with the 16550 UART and diagnostic LED status indicators for transmit, receive, RTS, CTS and power modes.
