Continuous Form Laser Printer

Printronixannounces the release of the new LaserLine L5520 continuous form, high-speed laser printer. IT managers can use PrintNet Plus networking features on the LaserLine L5520 to increase the functionality across the enterprise. Network administrators using a web browser can now view a remote printer's control panel, using a resident HTML-based printer homepage, and configure, troubleshoot, and secure printer controls from a single location in a LAN or WAN.

This brings the network management connectivity of PrintronixPrinter Manager (PPM) and the PrintNet network card to continuous form laser printing. The LaserLine L5520 can be connected to Ethernet (TCP/IP) to facilitate the migration of laser printer applications from mainframe based to server based network environments. PrintronixSystem Architecture (PSA 2) unifies all three Printronixprinter technologies - line matrix, thermal, and laser – allowing all of the printers to work together with little or no application software modifications. This new laser printer model is designed to provide compatibility with high-speed networks, and increased network configuration flexibility with 10/100Base T and printer-MIB support features. Now the L5520 printer can be operated on either 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps networks and is compatible with many SNMP management tools including: HP Web JetAdmin™, HP OpenView™, Tivoli™, Unicenter TNG™.

The LaserLine L5520 has full euro printing support with ISO standard Latin 9 character set and can be used for IS batch report applications with a 200,000 page per month duty cycle.
