ComPort Server to Connect Serial Port with Ethernet

Advantech Corporationtech has announced the ComPort server (ADAM-4570) that will connect RS-232/485/422 and the Ethernet. This product allows host computers and human machine interfaces to load-share and improve performance through its system integration capabilities.

The server integrates both Windows-based applications and existing RS-232/485/422 system architecture with the customer's Ethernet. This product supports two serial ports with a Windows-based port redirector driver. Mounted on DIN-rail, panel or piggyback, the server also includes an automatic RS-485 data flow control, a serial port transmission speed of up to 115.2 kbps and surge protection for RS-485.

Specifications of the product include a Windows-based, auto search for device; a Windows NT 4.0 driver; protocol for TCP, UDP, IP and ARP; and four-Watt power consumption.
