ARRIS Acquires Assets Of EG Technology, Inc.

Suwanee, GA./PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS) today announced that it has acquired certain assets of EG Technology, Inc., (EGT) an Atlanta-based company. Under the terms of the agreement, ARRIS acquired EGT patents and video processing technology for digital networks, and will employ approximately 20-25 of the existing employees. The acquisition complements ARRIS video offerings by adding multi-functional, flexible, and scalable video processors to its portfolio of market leading voice, video and data solutions.

The transaction is expected to be neutral with respect to earnings per share, excluding amortization of intangibles associated with the acquisition."
