AG626 DP Multi-Turn Absolute Profibus Encoder
The AG626 DP is equipped with a Profibus DP interface to provide rapid and efficient exchange of data with peripheral devices. This Profibus absolute encoder transmits position value, diagnostic information and configuration data via the bus. This simplifies commissioning and maintenance since various functions of the encoder can be configured during operation, and the diagnostic data can be read by the master at any time. Data can also be taken into account automatically during configuration of the bus system. Additional features include status information via two LEDs on the bus connector, automatic baud-rate detection and transmission rate of up to 12 Mbaud.
AG626 Absolute Encoders utilize a unique magnetic technology that allows high shock (100 g for 6 ms), vibration (20 g at 20 - 2000 Hz), temperature (100 C operating), and humidity (98% with condensation). Multi-turn counting is accomplished through gearing and magnets - absolute position is saved on power failure without the need for a battery back-up. AG626 Absolute Encoders are also available with SSI, Devicenet and Interbus interfaces.
