ADC Showcases Expanded OmniReach FTTP Portfolio At FTTH Conference

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) (www.adc.com) will be showcasing its new space-saving solutions to its OmniReach® FTTP portfolio, including its DLX™ Fiber Optic Connector System, Low Profile Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) and FDH in pedestal, at the 2008 FTTH Conference & Expo, taking place at the Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 21-25.

"Service providers want flexibility, reliability and speed in any buildout, and they need space-saving products, particularly with the increase in Multiple Dwelling Unit buildouts," said Jack Field, VP Product Management for ADC's Global Connectivity Group. "ADC is known for working with service providers to provide solutions that accelerate network construction and deployment. Our OmniReach FTTP portfolio helps network planners build complete solutions for any application in the least amount of time and at the lowest possible cost."

Ideal for Outside Plant (OSP) drop applications and Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) environments where space is a premium, ADC's DLX Fiber Optic Connector System is a cost-effective plug-and-play solution that uses minimal space for connecting fiber drop cables between terminals at the street and at the residences. Unlike legacy hardened connector systems, the DLX connector can be used in smaller enclosures and multi-port terminals, which reduces the space required on poles, in hand holes and in optical terminal networks. ADC's DLX connectors require smaller holes in walls for cable drops, which make them ideal for less intrusive routing.

ADC also will debut new additions to its Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) product line: FDH cabinets ideal for MDU and rural fiber network deployments. At less than eight inches deep, ADC's unique Low Profile FDH is designed for MDUs that typically have tight areas and limited wall space. The cabinet is configured for ADC's Rapid Fiber System for ease and speed of installation by service providers. For growing rural fiber network deployments, ADC will also feature its new FDH in a pedestal, which offers a smaller distribution count and lower upfront costs required for typical phased rural developments.

"ADC's comprehensive OmniReach FTTP suite of solutions enable service providers to move the idea of fiber networks to an attainable reality–no matter the environment," said Field.
