Hardware fault tolerance:
Every Stratus ftServer uses fully replicated, fault-tolerant hardware to eliminate virtually any single point of failure and protect data integrity. Duplicate components operate in lockstep - processing the same instruction at the same time. So in the event of a component failure, there is no interruption in processing, no lost data, and no slowdown in performance. Hot-pluggable components allow replacements and reconfiguration to take place while your server stays online.
Software Availability: We've protected critical uptime for two decades, so Stratus knows precisely where software and operating systems may leave systems vulnerable to failure. Now the Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system introduces major advances in reliability and performance for business-critical computing. Stratus complements these achievements with value-added software innovations that maximize uptime for applications, middleware, and operating systems.
Integrated Service Technology: Built-in service features are another key to assuring uninterrupted uptime. Each ftServer system constantly monitors its own operation and reports any exception to a Stratus Customer Assistance Center. Our service professionals then use the global Stratus Service Network (SSN) to investigate the situation remotely. Stratus and authorized vendors can collaborate as needed to expedite a solution -without the delay of traveling to your site.
