NuBlu Energy Announces Opening Of LNG Liquefaction Facility In Port Allen, Louisiana

NuBlu Energy is proud to announce the opening of our Port Allen LNG Liquefaction facility for commercial production. The 30,000 gallons per day facility displays the modularity of the patented NuBlu technology as the current plant design allows for easy expansion up to 90,000 gallons per when the LNG needs increase in the region. The plant is equipped with scales, load out and 100,000 gallons of permanent storage.

The modularity and scalability of the NuBlu LNG system enables any customer to scale production in line with demand and spread out the capital expenditures. The Port Allen facility is strategically located along the Mississippi utilizing high and low-pressure pipelines producing a gallon of LNG at efficiencies competitive with small/medium-scale facilities.

“This project represents our unique capability to design, engineer, and deliver a complete efficient solution. Our patented technology takes full advantage of energies found on the pipeline validating that micro/small-scale LNG systems can be efficient. We are producing 37 gallons of LNG per compression horsepower required at the Port Allen facility. This is a substantial efficiency advantage over other traditional plants. In addition, we are producing cold LNG at 5psi and -252F. This is a significant advantage over other micro-scale LNG technologies currently on the market.” ----- Cory Duck, Vice President, Corporate Growth & Development, NuBlu Energy

Each major piece of equipment is a modular, skid-mounted design making the plant easily deployable in remote regions or areas not typically suited for these types of projects. This also eliminates the need to build extensive pipeline infrastructure as the NuBlu solution is designed to bring the LNG production to the customer.

“Completion of the Port Allen project represents the successful commercialization of the NuBlu technology. We are also bringing another option to the LNG market. This plant lays the foundation for efficient LNG production on a modular level preserving the efficiencies recognized by larger production facilities. This gives the domestic and international community a much smarter and economical solution by Making LNG Local.” ----- Josh Payne, Vice President, Business Development, NuBlu Energy

NuBlu Energy is poised to bring affordable micro/small-scale liquefaction to additional domestic and emerging international LNG markets. The NuBlu approach allows for easy expansion as regional and customer needs grow.
