FLIR Introduces Thermacam® PM 695 Fully Automated Thermal Imaging System
FLIR Systems, Inc. recently introduced a revolutionary new thermal imaging camera, the ThermaCAM® PM 695 automated infrared inspection system. The PM 695 is the first IR camera to feature both thermal and visual imaging capabilities in a single system. Ruggedly designed, the PM 695 quickly records and stores temperature analysis data, voice and text comments together with thermal and visual images. Documenting results is automatic; drag and drop image files containing field inspection data onto the QuickReport™ icon and instantly create comprehensive maintenance reports. With the PM 695, users can now accurately see, measure and document all the information needed to make critical maintenance decisions.
The ThermaCAM PM 695 uses MicroIR™ technology, a patented third generation uncooled microbolometer detector. The most advanced IR camera technology available, this solid state detector needs no cryogenic cooling and provides outstanding longwave imaging performance, exceptional thermal sensitivity of 0.08°C, and precision temperature measurement capabilities from
– 40° to +2000°C. With five measurement modes, the PM 695 provides powerful and flexible temperature analysis and allows users to measure and display up to five discrete temperatures simultaneously. New auto focus, auto range and auto span features produce perfectly adjusted, high-resolution thermal images helping users identify problems clearly and speed survey time.
Other enhancements to the ThermaCAM include the ability to store and edit voice comments and text notes in the field with thermal and visual images. All survey data is stored inside the image file(s) and can be automatically downloaded into professional inspection reports.
According to Andrew Teich, Senior Vice President of Marketing, "The ThermaCAM PM 695 is the first thermal imaging camera to incorporate all the requirements of an infrared inspection program in one system providing a total predictive maintenance solution. The addition of the PM 695 thermal imaging system will further enhance the market acceptance of the ThermaCAM product line which has become the world's best selling infrared focal plane array camera for IR predictive maintenance applications."
To date, over 30,000 commercial systems have been sold worldwide to support applications in predictive maintenance, R&D, nondestructive testing, process control and public safety. FLIR's ThermaCAM series of uncooled and cooled thermal imaging cameras have set the standard for thermographic testing and analysis and are the most widely used IR non-contact temperature measurement systems worldwide.
