B2 Technologiesa LabVIEW toolkit can compress any file to as small as one fifth its original size without compromising data integrity. The compression routines use customized, 32-bit CRC error checking that works across multiple computing platforms. The tookit works on many operating systems, including Windows 98/95/NT/2000, MacOS, Linux, HP/UX, Solaris, and Concurrent PowerMax. Examples are supplied that demonstrate how to use the functions in a developer's application. The examples include a process monitoring system that must maintain a constant log of data.
