Exhibited at NI Week: Ethernet Modem

Data-Linc GroupE Ethernet Radio Modem is designed for wireless Ethernet communications in industrial environments. It offers remote PLC programming and diagnostics and wireless connectivity between corporate IS and control systems. The modem communicates at a range of 15 miles with line-of-sight antenna placement. External antennas and repeaters can be used to extend range and work around obstructions. The modem can bridge two Ethernet segments or connect multiple Ethernet nodes to a master PLC. It offers either a 10BaseT or 10Base-FL interface to the Ethernet device. It uses MAC layer bridging for true protocol transparency and supports TCP/IP-based protocols. Data throughput rates up to 100 KBPS allow use in most Ethernet control applications.
