Most AutomationSolutions members and affiliates are rooted in motion control, that is, their core (original) product offering is programmable precision electronic motion control (step and servo motors, drives, controllers, and feedback devices).

While "motion control" is our common heritage and one of our core competencies, AutomationSolutions member companies and affiliates market and apply many other major elements of the machine automation solution. These include intelligent sensors, programmable logic controllers, industrial computers, vision systems, mechanical components (rails, guides, ball screws, actuators, stages, gearheads, couplings, etc.), human machine interfaces, safety equipment, and related services (e.g. panel building, custom software, custom assemblies, product integration, and training).

Our customer list is long, fragmented, and remarkably diverse. Nearly all Fortune 1000 companies utilize AutomationSolutions products and services, as do thousands of smaller businesses.

Our products and expertise are in use producing aircraft, semiconductors, band aids, tennis balls, frozen dinners, light bulbs, automobiles, lumber, paper, locomotives, diapers, disk drives, and motion pictures (e.g. we designed controls used to produce many of the special effects seen in the film "Titanic".)

We work both directly with end users, automating existing in-plant equipment, and with OEMs, helping them select and apply high tech components to the machinery they design, produce, and sell.
