Wieland Electric Inc. recently introduced an innovative style of pluggable connectors with inverted contacts for cable to cable connections and PC board applications. Designated the SUFK Series, these PCB connectors feature inverted contacts. Instead of the typical configuration of the female plug and male header, the SUFK incorporates a male contact in the plug half. The SUFK mates with either the standard female plug for a "flying connector", or with the board mount 8213/BL Series.
The SUFK Series PCB plug gives design engineers an option to fill in the gaps left by standard PC board connectors while utilizing fast, effective spring clamp technology. The SUFK Series connectors are ideal for `flying connections', such as what may be found in wire harness signal connections inside a panel.
The SUFK Series PCB plug is available in 5.08mm spacings in 2 to 24 poles and will accept up to 12AWG wire. Each SUFK Series plug is constructed of a polyamide 6.6, UL 94 V-0 approved material for safety. The connectors are rated at 300V, 12A and hold UL, CSA and VDE approvals.
