Open BSI is a Windows 3.1/95/98/NT communications interface
Open BSI is a Windows 3.1/95/98/NT communications interface. It provides a common communication layer through which other Bristol and non-Bristol applications interface to Network 3000 products. Open BSI supports direct connection, radio and auto-dialing systems. Above this communication layer are a group of applications called Open BSI Utilities.
The Basic Utilities provide Time-stamped Historical data file collection, on-line signal data access, Accol file download, and a communication statistics monitor: The Data Collector and Scheduler Utilities allow on-demand, or scheduled, historical and alarm/event audit trail collection. These files are automatically converted to other application formats such as FIX, Genesis, and Flow-Cal, as well as generic .CSV file formats. The conversion utility is also ODBI compliant for data import to relational databases.
