Designated the 76 Series, the new miniature Multipole metal hoods and housings are silicon-free and carry an IP 55 protection rating. This series is vibration resistant and effective in heavy duty OEM and control applications. Available with top or side entry cable glands in three, four and seven poles, plus ground configurations, the 76 Series offers ample pin density in a restricted space. An eight-pole version is available without ground in a 10A, 42V rating.

Socket and plug contacts, which accept 22 to 16 AWG wire connections, are available in either screw clamp or crimp clamp versions. Screw clamps are 2.5mm², rated at 10A, 600V, while crimp connections are 1.5mm² without contacts.

Minature Multipoles provide all of the standard features available in Wieland's Multipole family of rectangular connectors, including:

• Housing gaskets that are attached at the factory to reduce field assembly labor costs
  
• Part numbers imprinted on all components for easy identification and ordering
  
• Silicon-free hoods and housings for paint room facilities and food and beverage applications
  
• Custom marking and coding options to prevent miswiring and misidentification
  
• Lagging contacts for "first make, last break" safety
  
• Captive hardware to prevent lost parts
  
• Guided screwdriver access, which provides a slip-free guide for automatic screwdrivers
