SBS Bit 3 Operationsel 25x6 series of VMEbus node cards is used for Broadcast MEMORY networks, a hub-configured networking system. The cards connect the host VMEbus system to the network via fiber-optic cables. The cards can be used with PCI node cards on the same network for a variety of applications.

The node cards consist of a VMEbus interface, up to 8 MB of shared memory space, 256 Kb of memory for write interrupt enables, a 1 Kb FIFO for storing write interrupts, and a full-duplex communications interface. Both node card models comply with IEEE 1014C specifications.
