Recommended for security against entry, damage, and weather for exterior and interior openings in industrial, commercial, institutional, and other buildings. Thermiser doors provide all the benefits of rolling service doors with the added benefit of foamed in place urethane insulation which keeps interiors warm in winter and cool in summer. The 7/8" thick urethane insulation within each slat fills all voids and cures in to a firm bond between the interior and exterior skins, forming a strong integrated door slat. Air infiltration rates are reduced by up to 90% due to the perimeter weathering provided on all Thermiser doors.

Benefits include:

Long Life: Rugged all metal construction reduces damage and minimizes other maintenance expenses.

Space Saving: Since the doors roll upward and store in a tight coil above the opening, full use of the interior space is evident. The interference with other building components is greatly reduced.

Product Variation: Cornell Doors are recommended for openings up to 40' wide and 30' in height. The doors are available with exterior and interior slats in G90 galvanized steel with a baked on gray polyester enamel coating. Available galvanized steel slat gauges are: 24, 22, 20 and 18 with combination exterior and interior slats being - 24/24, 22/24, 20/24, 18/24 and 22/22. Also available is #24 gauge 300 series stainless steel with #4 finish or #18 B&S gauge aluminum with mill, clear or colored anodized finish. In addition, opt for Cornell's Spectrashield powder coating polyester finish and select from over 200 colors. Select powder coating for durability, aesthetics, superior finish life and cost effectiveness.

Operation: Push-up operation is not recommended for openings in excess of 5' x 7'. Motor operation is recommended for larger doors for easy operation, convenience and personnel safety. Chain operation is also recommended for larger doors for economy purposes and when doors will be operated infrequently. All operators may be adapted to suit special conditions.

Sound Transmission Rating: Thermiser doors have received an STC-24 rating when tested according to ASTM-90.

Windloading: All Cornell service doors are designed to resist a minimum 20 psf windload and will also be designed to meet local building codes, ANSI A58.1, ASCE-7. Test results from a recognized testing laboratory per ASTM - 330 are also available.

Product Options: High cycle construction for doors expected to operate more than 20 cycles per work day. Special applications such as pass doors with hinged frames built in to the rolling door curtain and special bottom bars for sloping or irregular sill conditions.
