Insulation Tester

Duncan Instruments Canada Ltd. portable 5,000 Volts insulation tester is designed for heavy duty industrial and field applications. Four user-selectable test voltages from 500 to 5000 Volts and large Test switch with hold feature make it suited for testing transformers and motors windings. Automatic discharge of the residual voltage provides additional safety. A long, logarithmic, high-contrast analog scale allows measurements from 500 kiloOhm up to 500 GigaOhms with 2% accuracy. In addition, the tester is capable of measuring both AC and DC voltages up to 600 Volts with high input impedance as soon as test leads are applied. Fast voltage reading serves as additional warning against performing the high voltage test on energized circuits. It is installed in a robust, portable, plastic insulated case. An internal battery assures autonomous field operation and lasts over 2,000 measurements under normal condition.
