Fiber Optic Sensor

The Lightspeed flexible toe guard is designed for use with hydraulic lift tables. The sensor automatically reverses the descent of the platform on contact with any resistance. The sensor can wrap around the entire perimeter of the platform to provide total protection, free of dead spots. Because it uses light rather than electricity, the operator never contacts current-carrying devices. The flexible fiber optics have the ability to "heal" themselves if damaged by automatically adapting the optic path to any distortion, thereby ensuring continuous protection.
