Diffuse On-Axis Lights (DOALs) from RVSI directs lights to the part along the camera viewing axis, permitting uniformity over a wider area in the field of view. The lights are suited for flat, mirror-like surfaces or any surfaces that have diffuse backgrounds.

DOAL units are designed for attachment to flying heads and are available with red LED, incandescent fiberoptic and white microfluorescent illumination sources.

DOALs can be used in a variety of machine vision applications, including PCB fiducial locations, label inspection, wirebond contact pads, semiconductor wafer dies, 2D Matrix on flat surface, PCB trace inspection, print inspection, surface flaws, and polished silicon wafers.
