A practical discussion of the principles of bridle operation and the engineering required to obtain successful operation will be reviewed.
Practical application problems will be solved as part of this course.
In in-dept discussion on reels, their components, and their operation on various types of process lines will be presented.

This course consists of 12 basic subjects designed to provide an understanding of the various drives, which makes up a process line and the application of electric motors, controls, and power supplies required to satisfy their requirements. Topics: DC/AC Motors, Multiple Motor Drives, Bridles, Helper Drives, Generators, Thyristor Power Supplies, Variable Frequency Power Supplies, Reels, Storage Devices, Levelers, and Side Trimmers.
